I am

I am…
It’s hard to sit here and try to reveal what makes me who I am when I’m not even 100% sure myself. It’s hard to look back on my own behavior and categorize it with a personality trait or a type of person. And it’s hard to think of gifts that I have, maybe because in general we are so used to pointing out the negative things about ourselves rather than the positive things.
With all of that aside, I will put down what I know, or I think I know about myself.
I am a traveler; I love to daydream about where I’m going next and about my past experiences in different places. Most of my money goes to airplane tickets.
I am not a picky eater. This is where the rest of my money goes. I love to enjoy all types of different foods. I look forward to my 3 meals a day… or maybe 4… or 5….
I am social. I love being around people for almost everything I do. I love meeting new people, or just people watching.
I am a hard worker. I’ve been consistently working at least one job and going to school full time since I was 15.  I can get things done.
I am a thrill seeker. I love being spontaneous and trying new things. Gotta’ get that adrenaline pumping!
I am a procrastinator. Although I do get things done, I can very often wait until there is a urgent deadline so that I HAVE to do it that night. It is so hard for me to pass up an opportunity to go to the beach with my friends, or out to eat, or just the fact that it’s a beautiful day to stay at home doing homework instead.
I am active. Although I absolutely love sleeping in, if I wake up too late, I feel like I’ve wasted the whole day. I like to ride bikes, play soccer, go swimming, hiking, and running. I’ll do almost anything outdoors.
I am impulsive. For the better or the worse, sometimes I forget to think before I speak, or I don’t think too much before I do something. This can definitely work to my advantage but also to my disadvantage.
Some of the gifts that I can bring to the classroom are:
I am open-minded. I like to participate as long as I’m not the only person doing it. I love debating, but I have to know my stuff before! I don’t have a problem being a leader and organizer for discussions or projects. I can be outgoing, yet listen to others as well!
